Ruthven Commandery No. 2 was set to work on June 23, 1855, having been granted a charter by The Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Texas. We support many charities; the Knights Templar Eye Foundation; the Knights Templar Holy Land Pilgrimage, College Scholarships and more.

In the one hundred and sixty years of our existence, we have been led by notable men of honor, benevolence and distinction.

To all Sir Knights of Ruthven Commandery, And ALL Knights that might follow this wherever. I wanted to express my deepest and most sincere gratitude for all that has been done by All Sir Knights of Ruthven Commandery and other Commanderys of Houston to help make the 2019 year a success. NOTHING could have happened without the support of Past Commanders and the officer Corp and several guests and Visiting Members of other Commanderies.
Ruthven Commandery grew in members, while acknowledging the loss of others. Increased activity in Stated Conclaves, and other meetings, Marched in the Fourth of July City of Bellaire Parade, Fed the Hungry, Participated in and was well represented at Grand Commandery in San Angelo, Was honored to have our Prelate, Sir Knight Robert Foreman, PC to serve as Grand Prelate through Grand Commandery in San Angelo, Assisted with Marching Teams in Grand Commandery, Had a Widows/Wives night, Hosted the Easter Observance for District 3, and participated in at least 5 Flag Presentations for Masonic Officer Installations and Masonic Meetings.

Nothing could have been done without the assistance and work of all Past Commanders and Members present at Events listed.

Here's to another great year for Ruthven Commandery and it's Officers upcoming. I know that 2020 will be even better!
